Highlight Video | An Evening of African Poetry and Storytelling | KickstART Festival 2022
An Evening of African Poetry and Storytelling celebrates the expression of young African creatives in WA.
Come and embrace an evening of African poetry and storytelling curated by The Outsiders that fuses different forms of performing arts.
The aim is to allow our audience to experience the lives of those who society deems outsiders, as they seek to find their place in society while exploring their often complex identities, mental health, cultures, heritage, and art forms.
Here is the first part of this performance as we bring you highlights!

Just like the name of the show ‘An Evening of African Poetry and Storytelling’, this mix showcases how diverse the African sound is when telling stories through words and beats.

Curated and mixed by Ayo Busari of TAB Family, this Mix consists of tracks from Nigeria - his home country, some from South Africa, Ghana, the U.K and last but not the least it has some of his own records on it, so you know it’s a vibey one! Enjoy x
