About Amy Reid:

Amy Reid is a textile artist with a passion for recycled fashion. Her brand Out There Fits is One of a Kind fashion that's Kind to the Planet. Whether it’s eucalyptus gumnut earrings from leather offcuts, a RUGby jumper from a second-hand blanket, or a ball gown from an op shop curtain – she works exclusively with discarded textiles to give them new life! Each garment is handmade right here in Boorloo to be as unique as the individual wearing it. The name ‘Out There Fits’ stems from Amy’s love of a good play on words. For some, 'out there' has negative connotations - a backhanded way of saying something is "too much" or "too strange". Having been called "a bit out there" a few times before, Amy wanted to reclaim the phrase! For them, 'out there' means One of Kind - special in its peculiarity. Out There Fits is about self-expression - finding what make you unique and putting it 'out there'!

The event is wheelchair accessible, welcoming to companion card holders and support persons, and support animal friendly. More Access Info
