ARTIST STATEMENT

Out There – Where The Salt Clings (Sara Morgillo and David Clarke-Mr. Widdy)

In Out There – Where The Salt Clings, David Clarke combines improvised acoustic guitar with spoken word by Sara Morgillo to build a collection of contrasts. Between the land and sea, breathing under and above the surface, the way we view the ocean in sunlight and dark, chaos and calm. Captured by visual and audio imagery, out there - where the salt clings touches on the feeling of submergence in the sea and stillness that follows.
